Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Carson Valley, CA website and community (“Carson Valley,” “we,” “us”). By using this website or taking part in the community, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or join the community.

Who we are

Carson Valley, CA is a private, invite-only roleplay community that plays on the FiveM platform, a third-party modification for Grand Theft Auto V. Everything here is fictional. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, Cfx.re, or any real law enforcement agency or government.

Eligibility

You must meet the minimum age we require to join, and you must meet the requirements of any third-party platform we use, including Discord, which requires users to be at least 13. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us when applying.

Membership

Membership in Carson Valley is invite-only and is a privilege, not a right. We may decline, suspend, or remove any member at any time and for any reason, including for breaking our rules, acting in bad faith, or being disruptive. Removal does not entitle you to any refund, compensation, or the return of anything you contributed.

Rules and conduct

While using the website, our Discord, or our game server, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or abuse anyone.
• Cheat, exploit, or use unauthorized third-party tools.
• Share or leak private community content, assets, or discussions.
• Impersonate staff or other members.
• Break the law or encourage others to do so.

Our full community rules apply in addition to these Terms. Staff decisions on rule enforcement are final.

Roleplay is fiction

All characters, agencies, ranks, events, and communications within our community are fictional and part of roleplay. Nothing that happens in-character represents real people, real agencies, or real events. Do not treat in-character actions as out-of-character statements, and never use the community to harass anyone in real life.

Our content

The custom assets we create, including vehicles and liveries, uniforms, scripts, our computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system, artwork, and written policies, belong to Carson Valley or its contributors. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or reuse them outside the community without our written permission.

Third-party services

We rely on third-party services such as FiveM, Discord, and our hosting providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies, which we do not control.

Disclaimer and liability

The website and community are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the website, the game server, or your participation in the community.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website or community after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
